You currently have a 40 year timberline shingle installed but you have to file a claim with gaf and need to identify if its a Canadian 40 HD or a timber Prestique 40 HD type You have one whole bundle?

I am installing today, August 23, 2010, Timberline Prestique 40HD. That what the label on the shingle bundles says.

My contract called for Canadian 40 HD Timberline.

I am being told by the contractor and by an area GAF Rep that there is no difference.

Then why the two types.

Any answers please---is there still a Canadian 40 hd
