I have never had any problems with swordtails. I have 1 male and 2 females in a tank with 2 angelfish, 1 serpae tetra, 1 blue gourami, 1 dalmatian molly and 1 Mickey Mouse platy. There will always be exceptions to the rule but, as far as my experiences go, they are not.
because their dumb
not really but they are not a community fish you can put them with semi aggressive fish like parrot fish but they can not go with tetras
Guppies, Mollies, Swordtails, Platies, umm.... Look it up atwww.wetwebmedia.com
Angel Fish are a type of cichlid and are considered semi-aggressive.
www.LiveAquaria.com is a good place to start. They label their fish as peaceful, semi-aggressive, and aggressive. ask my brother
I believe that they are indeed aggressive. They tend to hang around with sharks. From what I have read, people can eat them.
The Betta is a semi-aggressive fish, and I typically keep other semi-aggressive fish with them.. namely, angel fish. They're not getting along.. they're just deterred from attacking each other because they know the other will fight back. DO NOT put any sort of barb in with them.. even though barbs only are considered semi-aggressive, it's a bit of an understatement, and they LOVE nipping at long fins.
Baby fish are tiny and will usually be eaten if they are left with larger fish. Swordtails will eat their young and adult neon tetras will also eat baby swordtails. You won't be breeding neons.
Cory Catfish tank mates include most community tank fish as long as they are non-aggressive and friendly in nature. Otocinclus Catfish, Tetras, Swordtails and of course other Corys can be a good fit.
No, they are both aggressive/semi-aggressive fish so if they were in the same tank there is a high possibility one would get injured or die
Hardy tropicals such as mollies, platys, swords, guppies, tetras, barbs, danios and rainbows should work fine.
There are a lot of non aggressive freshwater fish, usually at pet stores the signs describing the fish tell you whether or not they are aggressive like tropical community, semi- aggressive, etc.
