Since their posterior portions are typically depicted as fish-like, one would presume they eliminate similar to fish, so perhaps some research on fish digestion and elimination is in order. Since they are half fish, and a fish's anus (or it could be a cloaca instead) is about 1/4 the way to their tail, then that should be where they eliminate, and preferably into the sea.
That said, there are no real mermaids. They are all fiction.
The good thing about imaginary creatures is that you don't have to do al the detailed engineering to show how they work. No one cares about the impact of square and cube laws on giants, the wingspan of flying horses, or the creation and loss of mass as Alice of ALice in Wonderland grew and shrank. An example of what happens when the engineers get turned loose on this type of question is shown in Larry Niven's "Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex."
Afraid not...Mermaids dont exist and humans cant breathe underwater.
It might be a yes or no
In myths, mermaids lived in the sea and dragged sailors down to "live" with them underwater. Unfortunately, the sailors could not breathe water and drowned. The mermaids hid so that they could catch the sailors off guard and drag them down.
yes, they can breathe underwater.... WELL, we have no proof that mermaids exist. So what we have researched and it says they can.actually i dont believe in mermaids but i still believe that they can breath under water.
Mermaids are often depicted as having powers such as the ability to breathe underwater, communicate with marine life, and control water in some legends and stories. The specific powers can vary depending on the cultural or fictional context in which mermaids are portrayed.
Mermaids are not real, so it doesn't make a difference if they breath out of water or not. They come to us from legends written thousands of years ago by the Greek and Celts. It is scientifically impossible for the DNA of a fish and human to live in the same body.
There are no actual mermaids...
They have gillsmermaids have gills beneath their arm pits and therefore water flows in through their mouth and out through the gills allowing easy breathing like a fish.
No. Mermaids are not real and there are no spells to make people into mermaids.
mermaids livge in the ocean there for mermaids are real
There are no mermaids anywhere, since mermaids do not actually exist.
Mermaids are not real
