I suggest disposing of all absorb and materials (sand, coconut substrate, plants, and coconut shells). Scrub down the sides of the cage, clean any water dishes and plastic objects thoroughly with boiling water, and add fresh sand into the crabitat.

First remove the dead squirrel, then clean up the area with bleach and water. next, spray some air freshner daily until smell seems to disapate....you may have to repeate the bleach and h2o process...
