In nature there are many kinds of tiny macropods, microscopic algaes and other things in the water when goldfish breed in spring under normal/wild conditions. These 'baby goldfish foods' can be purchased at most good pet shops
Goldfish were breed to be pets, they have never lived in the wild. Some people do set them free into rivers and streams, they generally get parisites and fungal infections and do not survive long.
Wild Goldfish are found in the Yangtze river, but are very different from the domesticated goldfish. In the wild, goldfish can grow up to five feet long, and are reputed to live for hundreds of years.
no
No.
Goldfish are very delicate and often cannot survive in the wild, but they are not endangered. Since Goldfish do not appear in the wild naturally and are a result of selective breeding, there is currently a good supply of Goldfish. Goldfish breeding is an industry itself that regularly produces rare and expensive fish. If Goldfish breeding were to stop, however, Goldfish would maybe become endangered. They would not die out completely but they would not be goldfish as we know them. After a few generations in the wild, goldfish revert back to their dark greenish brown scale color and begin to resemble the less delicate carp that are more fitted to survive. Some less durable types of goldfish would die out completely. Rest assured, our favorite fish is nowhere near endangered. It simply needs constant care and attention to stay that way.
yes
Of course they can. Whether you're allowed to put them in the lake is a different matter, and I guess it depends what else is in the lake. But yes, they can survive and live in lakes.yes because it is freshwater fish
