Of course you always want to wait until your tank is completely cycled, but because betas are pretty hardy little guys, you can definitly cheat a little. As long as the ammonia, nitrIte and nitrAte levels are within tolerable levels you can probably add the beta within a week or so. Just keep an eye on those levels and do regular water changes!
