Seahorses are not recommended as pets for anyone who is not an expert. The reason for this is that they can be difficult to keep alive.

In the wild, seahorses suck plankton and small crustaceans (like brine shrimp) in through their snout all day long. In an aquarium, they could not survive on just brine shrimp food, instead, they need a living diet, i.e. a diet of living organisms. It is very expensive to keep them.

Additionally, many countries regulate seahorses, so it is not only expensive to purchase them, many times it is not possible.
