A claw pinch from the hermit crab, while painful, is not venemous, but if the skin is broken there's a small chance you'd pick up an infection or have an allergic reaction for other reasons. It's a good idea to handle hermit crabs with gloves as this is a pretty common defensive response.
I have a female fiddler crab and her pinches are not that bad. But she is not that aggressive. So it depends on how active they really are.
no crabs are not poisonous they just pinch but other than that NO
yes they do but they hurt alot sometimes
no it can only pinch you
Hermit Crabs do pinch! Actually i got pinched by mine earlier today. But it will not hurt you very very bad you just feel some sting. (If you are wondering hermit crabs don't transmit any diseases :) )
It doesn't take much to upset a hermit crab. They get mad very easily and they will obviously pinch if they get upset.
it will usually retract onto its shell for pretection, and sometimes use its claws to pinch and swipe. don't gove a hermit crab reason to pinch you. it hurts. really really really really BAD.
I'm not sure, but they might bite when eating, but they pinch people.
Yes, they are shy though. If you give them a chance to pinch you, they will.
yes you can play with hermit crabs but not the way you think.all you have to do is let it crawl on your hand or on a flat surface, but that's about it.(if your hermit crab is not used to you it may pinch you if you try to hod it)
No. Although it may pinch, its not poisonous.
