Sea dragon

Habitat- southern and western seas of Australia

Description-looks like a piece of seaweed. It is about 40cm long,

It has a long snout and a fin on its neck, on its back and one on the

end of its body.

Adaptations- it catches its prey by the camouflage ability it holds, isn't eaten by other species because of its camouflage and bony covering, they float around like a piece of seaweed.

Interesting facts-surprisingly they don't have teeth. Although it has no predator the sea dragon is endangered. Because of their unique look sea dragons are a great prize of divers. Now you have to have a special licence to keep or sell sea dragons. They are also closely related to the sea horse and pipe fish.
