A baby goldfish (just hatched) is very tiny and can be hard to see. They look like little tadpoles. They will have a yolk sack over the face and will slowly digest it. once completely eaten it is a good idea to feed your babies baby fish food, like 'Small Fry'. For a while these babies will not have fins but as they get bigger you will be able to see the fins grow. The growth period is pretty long

A goldfish's color responds to light, and does not depend on age. If a fish is kept in the dark it will get lighter, losing much of its color over time. For a true gold or simply your fish's brightest, healthiest color I suggest giving it full spectrum light. Diet plays a role in color, shrimp and fish meal will also help bring out a goldfish's color. Also, genetic variation can lead to goldfish of many different colors.

Baby goldfish look like very tiny mosquito larvae for a little while, but slowly begin to take on their goldfish forms. In order to even see their fins, you would need a magnifying glass until they are much bigger
