Explain adjusting pull type clutch on Montero
A Saturn clutch is self adjusting. It's a hydraulic system and if the clutch is not adjusting properly it indicates that there is something wrong with the clutch mechanism, either clutch disk, pressure plate or hydraulic components.

It should be self adjusting. If its slipping then your clutch may be worn. Or if it has other symptoms, there could be a different problem. It says the clutch system is self adjusting in my manual.

To adjust the clutch pedal height in the Peugeot 307 locate the adjuster bolt on the floor under the clutch pedal. Loosen the bolt and pull out the pedal to the proper height then tighten the bolt. To make the clutch pedal lower for the operator simply push in on the clutch pedal while the adjuster bolt is loose, then tighten the bolt.
The fan clutch on a 1997 S10 has a bolt on the center of the front. Remove the bolt while holding the clutch still. There is a special tool to grab the clutch fan from the rear to hold it while removing the bolt.
Its a hydraulic operated clutch, so its auto adjusting. No manual adjustment. If the clutch is slipping, you need a new clutch plate.
it is most likely a self adjusting cable. if you look near the clutch itself, it there are two nuts on the cable, then you can adjust it there. if there is a black cylcinder at the clutch side of the cable then this is self adjusting.
Your clutch needs adjusting. The pressure plate is not fully releasing the clutch.
