For building decorations and aquariums, I use pure clear silicone sealant which is also labeled "For Aquarium Use". Do not use silicone with any kind of algaecide in it (such as Silicone II at the hardware store) as the algaecide is toxic. Let the item dry until you don't smell fumes anymore and then it is safe to put into the tank or to fill with water. I also use aquarium epoxy (cut piece, knead, use), but it only comes in "stone" or "white" and both colors look like Chewing Gum in the aquarium. It dries rock solid, however, and is what I use when I will be able to completely hide the epoxied area. It works great for sealing pipe leaks and fittings and for building sumps.

What kind of tank should you use for a hermit crab?

I use a fish tank. But you can get special tanks for them like critter keepers but they don't really hold humidity in very well so I wouldn't recommend it. I do recommend using a fish tank that works very well. But if you use a fish tank you need a special top for it. 10 gallon at tank for the smallest. 10-? will work.

How does the fish tank background go on?

To attach a fish tank background, first clean the back of the tank and let it dry. Then, use clear tape or a background adhesive to secure the background to the back of the tank, making sure to smooth out any air bubbles. Finally, trim any excess material for a clean finish.
