Great White Sharks often mistake surfers for seals, their primary prey, due to the silhouette created when a person is on a board in the water. The contrast between the dark board and the lighter water can resemble a seal's shape and movement. Additionally, the splashing and paddling actions of surfers may further attract their attention, leading to accidental bites rather than intentional attacks.
Mako sharks are apex predators, meaning they are at the top of the food chain. However, larger sharks such as great whites and orcas have been known to prey on mako sharks. Additionally, humans are a significant threat to mako sharks through commercial fishing.
Great White sharks i think
I THINK 10 ARE backthere are roughly 3,500 great whites left, now becoming more endangerd than tiger sharks.
yes there stupid what do you think? they are blind people
Yes especially surfers because from below paddling surfers look like swimming seals
Surprisingly, human deaths from sharks are actually very rare. Only a handful of deaths occur each year. Great whites, tiger sharks and bull sharks have been known to attack people, viewing them as prey. Great whites, in particular, occasionally mistake surfers for seals, as they have a similar outline when viewed from below. Other than those species, the majority of shark attacks result from people provoking that sharks, which then bite in self-defense. Sharks are killed by humans far more often than humans are killed by sharks.
sharks attack us because they think we are seals or other prey.
yes ummm i think
Not usually, although you never know because the biggest Great White was caught in Cuba which is not far from Puerto Rico. The sharks that usually live in Puerto Rican waters are : Hammer Heads, Caribbean Reef Shark, Nurse Sharks and the two most dangerous... the Bull Shark & the Tiger Shark. But don't be scared! The last fatal shark attack was in 1922 off the coast of Santurce, Puerto Rico. After that there have been about 5 more minor shark attacks
no its mostly for camofluage because, like great whites, they strike from underneathand the stripes allow the fishes eye to "slide" over the stripes and think its just the environment then the shark gets em!!
Sharks are considered fish because they are fully aquatic animals. They have gills, and they will never come out of the water without human aid.
well it depends..... if you believe Jaws then yes but if you really look at sharks, they really only eat seals fish etc. they rarely attack people . and they attack surfers more then swimmers because they have the black wet suits and they think there seals so yes and no
