Alka-Seltzer and Mentos react differently when combined with liquids. Alka-Seltzer contains citric acid and sodium bicarbonate, which produce carbon dioxide when dissolved in water, creating fizz. Mentos, when dropped into Carbonated Beverages, causes rapid release of carbon dioxide due to its porous surface. Combining the two may create a vigorous fizz, but they serve different purposes and have different reaction mechanisms.
Alka Seltzer
if you put coke and alka-seltzer together they will cause an explosion if you get a film canester and put a alka-selzer tablet in then coke then shut the containor then shake and put it down with the cap on the ground it will shoot up into the air like a rocket. hope this helps

does alka-seltzer plus severe sinus congestion show up as meth on a drug test
It sounded sorta like asalacedic Acid. Very hard to completley conjure the name up after so many many years have passed and no one uses the word or words any more, sorta like the word, anaflogestine.
Not usually, no.
yes... just add alka seltzer to soda it will foam up over the edges like a volcano but not explode like a rocket. you can also use soda and mentos to make an volcano, if not capped. Or to make it explode, string them on a piece of metal and attach them to the top of a soda bottle with a magnet. then when you cap it, let it loose and throw it, when it hits the ground, instant mess, or rocket.
Put the mentos in the Diet Pepsi and shake it up really good then quickly take the cap of and back up.

Well you can put mint mentos in coke/pepsi and other drinks, soda, and it will shoot up. Is this what you were asking? Hope this helped.
