from the research ive done, I dont think its the smartest idea to have a Guinea Pig and a Hamster together. Some of my reasons are:
1) A Guinea Pig's cage has long bars, unlike a hamster's cage. A hamster would easily squeeze out the Guinea Pig cage's bars (i know from experience). And a hamster cage isnt quite suitable for a Guinea Pig, mostly because a Guinea Pig gets much bigger then a hamster does.
2) They have a very different diet. Guinea pigs eat plants, when Hamsters eat plant AND meat. the guinea pig would get sick if he/she accidentally ate the meat.
3) Hamsters are nocturnal, Guinea Pigs are not. the hamster would get very annoyed with the Guinea Pig, who would probably want to be up in the day time, squeaking away as the Hamster trys to sleep. and this could lead to a fight.
I hope this answered your question!
Yes, female dwarf hamsters can engage in mutual grooming to help maintain each other's cleanliness and bond with each other. This behavior is commonly observed in social animals like hamsters, especially when they are kept in pairs or groups.
Yes you can hamsters do not fight with each other unless their mad at each other
Yes. Guinea pig moms and dads will not eat their babies. They do not need to be separated from each other like hamsters do. The only thing you want to make sure of is that the dad is neutered or you will have more baby guinea pigs.
Hamsters are very antisocial animals they do not live with each other or most other animals. Dwarf hamsters can live together but there is still a small chance they will turn against each other.
if that is a game you are dumb
Hamsters will never eat each other. Maggie is just dumb. they love each other and will cuddle everynight. Dylan is right.
Hamsters and guinea pigs do not experience jealousy in the same way humans do. They may exhibit behaviors such as vocalizing or behaving territorially if they feel threatened or stressed by the presence of another animal, but this is not necessarily driven by jealousy. It is important to provide each animal with their own space, resources, and attention to prevent any negative interactions.
No.
No not in the same cage cuz like bigger people bully smaller people, the guinea pigs will hurt the hamsters
If your hamsters are tackling each other then the only thing you can really do is separate them. If hamsters have not been together since birth, then they will most likely not get along in the same cage. Get another gage or divide the one your using now, or your hamsters might really hurt each other!
there will be a heart where it shows hamsters...
It is highly recommended you have at least two guinea pigs together.
