Yes you can. Just make sure the water bowl and food are sufficient for a few days and they will be fine...hermit crab can go without food for 1 week and water for 2 days.
yes but if u do make sure the other crabs don't eat it!
I don't think that hermit crabs can feel many emotions but if you feel that your hermit crab is in a grumpy mood just leave it alone and make sure it has all its essentials (water, food, ect.)
Don't worry its just molting. Just leave it alone and then it will finish. Spray him regularly.
no it can only pinch you
Nothing important. Leave them alone.
it doesn't makes the baby then they leave and the baby raise its shelf
I can't say there's a lot to do with hermit crabs. If you play with them a lot, you can stress them out. But when you weekly bathe your hermit crabs, you can leave them out a little longer to play. By using safe and easy building supplies (like paper towel tubes) you can build an obstacle course for your crabs. You can also enter your hermit cabs in yearly competitions (most of them are in Georgia)
You get a shell, or a bowl that is close to the ground an put applesauce in it. if you leave him alone, he will eat it.
No, at least that has never happened with my crabs. When your crabs go down to molt the others will mostly leave them alone, but when your crabs finish molting and come up their skin is still a little soft. The problem with that is that their skin smells sweet and it's still soft so the other crabs might be tempted to attack them considering that they are carnivores. What I do with my crabs is let them molt and when they come up I put them in a separate cage for like a week and let them live alone until their skin has hardened.
Well if you have a friend who lives close and has hermit crabs then when you are hanging out at each others houses you could bring your hermit crab with you and put it in their tank. (You need a little moving tank. The very small ones with a little handle on the top.) But when you leave you need to bring your hermit crab with you. ~EEE2
Hermit crabs can. It happens when the hermit crab is changing its shell and falls over or when the hermit crab is dead it slides out or falls out of its shell! Sadly they can't always get back in there shells and die.
Yes, hermit crabs can do this because they burrow. In doing this they make air holes to keep a supply of air going to them at all times. This is why it is so important to never bury your hermit crab! In doing this you will not leave an air pocket and have a high risk factor of choking them.
