You can tell that passion fruit is ripe by looking at it =)
For me, when I want to pick fresh apples, I pick ones that are just the slightest green. Then wait the right amount of time for them to ripen, and you have fresh apples!
well, if you LIKE green bananas: eat it. if you DON'T: wait for it to ripen
Honeydew melons will become softer after they are cut from the vine, but the fruit will not get sweeter after it is picked.
If the peppers have formed, and are green, wait awhile - they turn yellow as they ripen (and if left on the plant long enough, they'll usually turn red, too).

Wait until it doesn't show green anymore, pick it up by the stem, if it's ripe it will fall right off!
Rhubarb does not ripen in the same way that fruits do; it does not continue to develop flavor or sweetness after being picked. If rhubarb is harvested while still green, it will not turn red or sweeten over time. The best flavor and color are achieved when the stalks are fully mature and have developed their characteristic hue. Therefore, it's best to wait until rhubarb is fully ripe before harvesting.
If apples have a red color they are fully ripe. If green they pick them pff a little early and wait for flavor for yellow same
You have to put cotton wool in a cup or bowl, then put some green beans on the cotton wool. And ,lastly water it everyday. Hope I helped! :)
The analogy is time and patience. In order to visit family, they had to wait for the fruits/flowers to ripen/bloom.
Usually, peppers are ready to be picked 75-90 days into their germination. Generally hot peppers get darker green as they ripen, and many varieties then begin to go red in colour. If you are waiting for a banana pepper, a jalapeno pepper, or a habanero pepper to ripen, you want to wait until it goes red. The red colour means it will have a sweet and hot flavour to them. Picking them when they are green is fine as well, but just make sure the pepper is thick walled and the approximate size that that kind of pepper should be.
