Yes, you can; in fact, it makes 'pouring' into molds much easier. If you are using pre-made chocolate candy melts, then place 20-25 discs directly into a new (not cut), 12-inch disposable piping bag. Microwave for about 20 seconds on high setting, and then test the chocolate (just MASH on it a bit). Continue to microwave in 10-15 second intervals until the chocolate is almost completely melted; it will be soft and glossy but still have some definition in the discs. Remove from microwave and knead the bag in your hand until all of the chocolate is melted and completely blended. Be careful to hold the top of the bag together (or twist a couple of times) so the chocolate doesn't come out the open end. Finally, snip the tip of the bag so you can squeeze the chocolate through. If you are doing detail work, then only about 1/16 of an inch is needed. If you're filling molds with no detail, then you can snip about 1/8 inch.
It is easier to use colored discs, but you can color white chocolate discs if that is all you have. Place the discs in the piping bag as described above. Before placing in the microwave, add powdered food color of the desired amount. (Note: do not use liquid or gel colors as they will 'freeze up' the chocolate. There are multiple on-line sources to find powdered food color.) When the chocolate is soft enough, knead the chocolate and the color together in the bag until all of the color is blended and the chocolate is consistent in color.
No matter which color you use, the chocolate will 'set' rather quickly so work fast to avoid having to melt it again. Chocolate will also 'freeze up' if it becomes overheated.

Not at all. Any time chocolate candy is made, the chocolate is melted and solidified. Chocolate chips in chocolate chip cookies have melted and solidified.

Chocolate lava is just melted chocolate.
When vinegar is mixed into melted chocolate, it can cause the chocolate to seize and become grainy or lumpy. This is due to the interaction between the vinegar and the chocolate, which disrupts the smooth texture of the chocolate. It is best to avoid mixing vinegar with melted chocolate to prevent this from happening.
Yes, melted chocolate chips will harden when left to cool.
To thin out melted chocolate, you can add a small amount of vegetable oil or melted butter and stir it in until you reach your desired consistency.
To fix melted chocolate that is too runny, you can add more melted chocolate to thicken it. If the chocolate is grainy, you can try stirring in a small amount of vegetable oil or cocoa butter to smooth it out.
