SUNNAH (the life and taughts of methods define by MUHAMMAD (PBUH).
The Qur'an and the Sunnah are two completely different things. The Qur'an is the word of Allah, as revealed to Muhammed. The Sunnah is the way in which Muhammed led his life, according to the orders of Allah. For example, the way Muhammed ate is the Sunnah way of eating for all Muslims.

The Sunnah rakats for each prayer are as follows: Fajr: 2 Sunnah rakats Dhuhr: 4 Sunnah rakats before the obligatory prayer and 2 Sunnah rakats after Asr: 2 Sunnah rakats before the obligatory prayer Maghrib: 2 Sunnah rakats after the obligatory prayer Isha: 2 Sunnah rakats after the obligatory prayer and 2 additional rakats of Tahajjud are often recommended. These Sunnah prayers are highly recommended but not obligatory.
