Fish do not die when they stop moving. Infact, they sleep NOT moving.
no its going to die
If you are at the point to where your other fish's life is in danger, consider moving them to different tanks.
Doesn't do much just makes them stop moving for a sec. but the fish still live.
what do sword fish do at night
It will usually stop moving, and sometimes just float at the service.
My fish stop all the time, but I don't know what will happen if they stop for half an hour.
the fish live in the freshwater...???? most fish dont sleep because if they stop moving, the oxygen does not get to their blood from the gills. they musty stay in motion to get water circulation inthrough the gills. if not, they die, such as sharks. other fish that do sleep just find a non-currented detritis-covered place and sleep.
No. This is a common miscomception. Fish need to move to filter water through they're lungs to get Oxygen. But Sharks gills contract and expand to draw water in and can remain motionless, and healthy like Nurse Sharks.
Rat poison makes blood stop clotting and stop working.
Sharks can never stop moving, because of the way their gills are. If they stop swimming, water will get in, and they will drown and die.
Sharks do not hibernate because they are fish! Fish do not hibernate or even sleep.Sharks also could not hibernate because most sharks cannot stop swimming!Another reason for this is because they do not need to.They useully live in hotter waters so there is no need to hibernate.I hope that this answers your question!!:)
It will stop moving in 200 million years.
