They do but it takes awhile for them to adjust to who they have taking care of them, it takes around 5 days before you can take them out of their cages when you first get them, for my hamster we adjusted and new I was his owner, after atleast 5 days of taking him out of his cage once a day, but wait until 5 days after u get him first, and on the fifth day where u can take them out, wait a day first.
Yes, I am pretty sure I am. To be a great hamster owner, don't annoy them too much, they can handle you staring at them, but they often like privacy and comfort in their cages. They are known mostly as "Look, but don't touch pets."But you are allowed to pick them up and pet them once in a long while. As long as you don't poke them, or do any harm to it. Fill their food bowl once a day with pet food to about 1/4 for each hamster you have. Also fill their water bottle all the way. You only need to refill every 2 days. Changing their cage once every week is also necessary too. Their bedding should be odor absorbent and be made out of fresh straw, or fresh wood shavings. All types of hamster care are available at your local pet store. Ask the clerks or workers there for more information, and also for care tips, handling, reliable cages and cage accessories. Just make sure to give your hamsters great care, attention, and your time. Good Luck! Hope this helped!
