When I pick Okra, I do not notice any pain from a burning sensation, however I do notice that my hands feel extremely slick for a few hours after picking okra. If I wash my hands or otherwise get my hands wet, they are very slick, as if I have hand soap suds on them. Have no idea why this is as I purposely do not get any of the sap onto my skin, just the dry okra pods as I harvest.

Frozen okra that is brown in the middle may not be ideal, as discoloration can indicate freezer burn or age, affecting its texture and flavor. However, if the okra shows no signs of spoilage, such as off smells or a slimy texture, it can still be safe to eat. Cooking may help improve its taste and texture, but fresh okra is generally preferable for the best quality. Always use your judgment when assessing frozen produce.
Okra
Frozen okra is likely bad if it shows signs of freezer burn, such as discoloration or ice crystals on the surface. Additionally, if the okra has a strong off-odor or an unusual texture when thawed, it may have spoiled. Always check the expiration date and ensure it has been stored at a consistent freezing temperature. If in doubt, it's safer to discard it.
