Yes they get very protective and after a while they eat their babies! To prevent this, separate the males from the females when they are 4 weeks old. Also when the hamsters behavior changes and then the hamsters heat rises , they may have became pregnent again and/or are going to die. About the dieing part nothing is bad , just you may want to give them lots to drink and a little less food. Also it depends on what you are feeding it and how the begaviour usually is. kay, thankx , ive experianced this and my hamster was prego twice , but then her behaviour was fine.

If it is having babies then it is all the way along. Otherwise it can be very difficult to tell, as even unimpregnated hamsters can gain lots of weight in a short amount of time.
They can have litters every 6 months. But they will get tired after a few set of litters and stop having babies.
Did you know? A hamster can get pregnant as soon as she has her babies! She can usually have about 4-5 litters in one mating season. Hope this helps-- Hamsterluver224 ;)
Separate the genders, like boys in one box or cage and girls in the other, or they will start having babies with their siblings. Also remove boy babies from their mom at three and a half weeks or mom may become pregnant with one of her kids!! Gross!
Hamsters are some of the most prolific mammals on Earth. They make rabbits look celibate. There is no shortage of baby hamsters, and it is unlikely that you will be able to sell them. Answer If you have a hamster with a calm personality, who likes being held, you might investigate breeding your hamster. Certainly, you would want to contract with a pet store before having babies.
No, they don't die if they finish their hamsters but they have more hamster wait 3 weeks and ur little hamsters were go.
During pregnancy, female teddy bear hamsters can gain up to 50% more weight than their original size. This weight gain is normal and necessary for the mother to support the developing babies. It's important to provide a balanced diet and ample nesting material to support the hamster during this time.
A pregnant hamster may become more restless, nest-building, and hoarding food before giving birth. She may also appear more protective of her nesting area, and may exhibit more aggressive behavior towards other hamsters or humans. It's important to provide a quiet and stress-free environment for a pregnant hamster.
