Ultra Sound
Echocardiography
Yes. An ultrasound at this stage shows the embryo as a miniature baby with a large head. All of the fingers, toes, arms and legs can be seen as well as the head and abdomen. All the different chambers, ventricles, and movements of the heart are visible, as well as the esophagus and stomach. The embryo has been visible since the fifth week, when the outline and heart movement can be seen.
It depends what the scan is done for. It is used to detect inflammation, stones , swellings, collection of fluids and pus, diagnosis of pregnancy and foetal monitoring, detect clots in vessels and ehco cardiography which is ultra sound of the heart to assess heart function

At 11 weeks unless you are probably unable to hear the heart beat of a fetus with a standard stethoscope. You should be able to pick it up on the Ultra Sound Equipment in your Doctor's Office. Your doctor should also have other equipment that can also pick it up. Most people do not have that equipment in their homes. Your fetus should have had a beating heart for nearly six weeks now. When it started beating, only super sensitive amplifiers could pick it up. Not even ultrasound could get it. Now it is coming into the range where ultrasound can find it. You will need to see your doctor to check the ultrasound or if your doctor told you the fetus does not have a heart beat ask what to do. At about 21 weeks you should be able to hear the heart beat with a regular stethoscope.
An Ultrasound Technician is a operator of medical devices using ultrasound, an extremely high frequency wave, to produce images of a patients body. They usually deal with pregnant women to monitor her fetus' development, although there are many other uses.
