How can you tell if your hermit crab has died?

u can smell the crab and if its realy bad then ur know or just touch the pintcher like strook it if craby moves then craby is alive

If it's not curled up in its shell, the legs will look dry and fragile, like a dead spider. Crunchy.

The first thing you will notice if your crab is dead is a terrible smell. It might have just molted, so it could also just be the exoskeleton.
