To access the crossover components in a Leak sandwich speaker:
1. Undo the nut in the centre of the rear panel - use a very large screwdriver to do this.
2. Unclip the front grille.
3. Undo the retaining screws of the bass driver.
4. Lift out the bass driver.
The crossover components are now visible on the block of wood that fits between the rear of the bass driver and the rear panel of the enclosure.
there is a crossover tube under the beauty shield that says intech...it always is very rusty ..
The crossover tube has an O ring at the end, it is plugged into the intake manifold and held in place by 2 screws. See pictures here: http://leckemby.net/windstar/windstar01.html
Hard to believe the voicecoil broke loose from the cone, don't you mean the supension ring (the flexible"waffle" near the magnet) ? That you can glue, with white wood-construction-glue. Watch out for glues with aggressive solvants, the polistyrine cone will desintegrate !!
I have a water leak under slab cement in my driveway which is making it's way into my garage now as well. Do I need to have the whole driveway broken and replaced in order to access it?
Usually by cutting an access hole in ground floor ceiling to locate and fix leak.
It is on the side of the fuel tank. You have to lower the tank to access.
yes
Look inside the car above the fuel pump for an access panel. If there is none, you will have to drop the fuel tank to fix the leak if the leak is at the fuel pump. You need to determine exactly where it is leaking.
Opening up classified information is a "leak" of information.
Possibly, but the supply lines should be in the wall. Even on a slab house, the water should come into the house at the water heater and then be in the walls. Possible heat vent leak? I'm assuming a slab house because if there was access underneath, you would be able to tell if there was a leak.
The gasket on the tank access hole is dried out or damaged. Replace that and you'll probably solve the problem.
Bars Stop Leak is a good leak fixer for small leaks and leaks in really hard to reach places, like heater cores inside the vehicle and clean-out/freeze plugs on the back of V- engines where the transmission blocks access to them. Hoses are fairly inexpensive. So, what's leaking?
