Although I wouldn't recommend it, the best way to make a microwave explode (usually unintentionally) is to put something in the microwave that needs ventilation and not ventilate it. for example, eggs have water in them, and when heated, water turns to steam. If it has no place to go, the egg will explode, as will the microwave. Another food that will act similarly is the potato. So if you ever put a whole potato in the microwave, you need to stab it a good few time with a fork to allow the steam to come out.

The best way to make it explode intentionally is to put explosives in it and detonate. But I wouldn't recommend this.
