If you are prepared for the amount of work that goes into raising fry, then you will need to remove the eggs from the main tank into a shallow dish with tank water.
Check the eggs daily and remove any that are not fertilized (they will become opaque) as they will grow a fungus.
Once the fry hatch, you will need to feed them either fry food, or baby brine shrimp and be certain to clean up any uneaten food daily with water changes. Continue to move the fry to larger containers until they can be added to your main tank if you have the room.
My goldfish Fan tail is attacking my small gold fish, they have been together for over a month now but has only recently started to nibble at the smaller goldfish, how can i stop this
It is a goldfish with a big tail that looks like a fan?
No. The only way to tell the difference between male and female goldfish visually is to observe them when they are in breeding season/condition. At this time the male fish develop white spots on their gill plates and pectoral fins. The females simply get more chubby as they fill up with ova (eggs)
You should feed your fish only as much as it can eat in 2 to 3 minutes twice per day. Goldfish are known to appear as though they are hungry all the time, but this is just a ploy to get more unneeded food.
the bird that has a tail like a fan is called a 'Peacock'
boa constrictors do not lay eggs, pythons lay eggs. not boas. and and incubator with fan and thermometer and heat mat. usualy 70 ish days they will hatch
yes he does have a pet he has a pet goldfish that a fan gave to him
The one inch of fish per gallon of water is an old guideline. With newer filters, and other equipment, plus more frequent water changes your tank can support more fish.
Fantail goldfish are black, white, gold or a mix of all three (also known as calico fantails). I used to have a gold fantail and a white fantail which lived for about 5 years but ive heard they can live longer.
