Food provides energy for growth primarily through macronutrients: carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Carbohydrates are broken down into glucose, which serves as a quick energy source for cellular processes. Proteins supply amino acids necessary for the synthesis of new tissues and enzymes, while fats provide a concentrated energy source and are essential for hormone production. Together, these nutrients support the metabolic processes required for growth and development.
Animal cells don't have chloroplasts. Only plant cells do. Plant cells use chloroplasts in photosynthesis. They catch light energy that is essential for them to make food. Animals don't use photosynthesis to make food, so they can't get energy from something they don't have.
Energy,Growth and Repair.
Nutrition.
The sun provides light energy which plants use to convert in to chemical energy through photosynthesis. Nutrients from the soil also assist in growth of plants. Animals rely completely on these green plants for their energy. Green plants produce chemical energy (food energy).
Food.
Food has various nutrients such as Carbohydrates, Fats, Proteins, Minerals,Vitamins. Each Nutrient contains energy, growth and many more.So for energy and growth and also for protection against diseases we need FOOD
body needs food for growth, energy and repair
So that they will have energy to use for their growth and development.
Assimilation
In food, there are many macro molecules. Among them, the main contribution towards the energy is given by the carbohydrates and fats. For the development, growth and repair our cell needs proteins and other micro nutrients like vitamins and minerals.
