The best thing is if you have a creek or river near by, take a bucket and get some from there. If you don't have a creek, make your own by leaving water outside for 4 days in direct sunlight and don't take out any bugs that fly in the cup or bucket.
Both snails and fish are alive. if they were not alive they would not have a heart or any other things that keep beings alive and functioning.
You have to add food to keep them alive.
Yes, it is recommended that you change the water in the aquarium before adding a new fish, as the water may contain harmful substances that could affect the new fish.
No because when you change water it is the same as in the wild where the water level go up and down. So don't be scarce to change water because it is a important part to keep your fish alive and healty. Hope that help!!!!
Water it.
A fish lice is a transparent kind of lice that can kill fish . It's a bit like a leech but for fish ! It can stay alive a lot when out of water . If you experience fish lice then remove it immediately and keep it on a bowl for about 10 minutes and it should be dead.

If you want them to live, you keep them in the water where they were laid.

As soon as nitrates have reached zero. Don't ever change more than 20% water a week. If you have fish in the tank during the cycling process you will need to change some water if the nitrates are in the deadly range to keep your fish alive. Otherwise I recommend an additive such as Prime to keep nitrates from killing fish during cycling.
Not unless you had another fish in there.
