Soybean in the U.S. is divided into 10 maturity groups that correspond to the 10 maturity zones or bands that cover all of the U.S. territory.

Each group will grow more or less quickly according to the length of the day light and the date of plantation. The main difference is mostly in the duration between the time of plantation and pollination. The time between pollination and harvest is usually about the same.

It takes between 3 and 5 months in total between plantation and harvest.
