This depends on where you live. In a warm climate (like Australia) they grow to fruiting stage from seed in about 3-4 months (av. of 100 days) and fruit for about 2 months. All this depends on variety, climate, amount of water & nutrition.

The early girl reaches maturity in as little as 65 days. Others average to 75-85 days. Some take as long as 110 days to maturity. Two years ago, I had tomato plants grow 5-6 inches per day from the time they were 3 feet tall till they reached 12 feet tall. That was 9 feet in about a month.
