Chicken may be marinated in the refrigerator up to 2 days. Boil used marinade before brushing on cooked chicken. Discard any uncooked leftover marinade.
Red meat: 5 days, white meat: 3

Smoked meat can stay longer than fresh meat outside a refrigerator. Smoked meat can go for up to 4 days if it is well stored.
It is safe to keep cooked turkey meatloaf out of the refrigerator for a short period of time. It shouldn't stay out longer than an hour.

If you are using a vacuum sealed container where the meat is pre-marinated, you need to check the package for an expiration date.
Meat is marinated in wine to give it flavour. It all so bring out more flavour. When the alchohol is poured on the meat into the fry pan the flavour stay with the meat but the actual alchohol content is cooked away.
