do u mean when they turn yellow, if so, it actually depends on how you treat them, i give my dog the dentix things every day, but his teeth will get yellow so we have to pay to get them washed, but i think if u dont give him the dentix, his teeth should turn yellow quite fast.

u can buy tooth brushes for dogs at pet stores, that is if u want to, but i strongly recommend that u at least use the dentix u can get from asda, oh yea and they have special sizes for different sized dogs.

What does long in the tooth mean?

"Long in the tooth" is a colloquialism which means "old" or "worn out". It is derived from the idea that elderly people and some animals such as horses and dogs tend to experience gingival recession as they age. The gums tend to recede up the tooth, exposing more of the tooth, hence, 'long in the tooth'. Anything that is considered old fashioned, outdated or overused can be called "long in the tooth".

How long after root canal treatment on a tooth should it take to deaden the tooth?

Immediately After Treatment: A root canal removes the pulp (nerve and blood supply), so the tooth is technically non-vital or "dead" immediately after the procedure. Residual Sensation: Some patients may feel slight sensitivity or discomfort for a few days post-treatment due to inflammation in surrounding tissues, not from the tooth itself. Healing Time: Full healing of the surrounding bone and tissue can take a few weeks to months, even though the tooth itself is already dead. No More Pain Signals: Since the nerve is removed, the tooth no longer sends pain signals; any lingering discomfort usually comes from the healing process. Crown Placement Timing: A crown is typically placed 1–2 weeks after the root canal once the area has settled, further protecting the now-dead tooth.
