However, at 18% alcohol, it is much lower "octane" than the other mentioned drinks; Vodka, Gin, Rum, Whiskey and Scotch all (usually) have at least 40% alcohol, up to (sometimes) over 75% (151 rum). Vermouth keeps well, and very well if refrigerated.
