i put a tasty dark beer and apple cider vinegar plus half a half cup or more old bay.... depends on your taste.... about to cook a big spider crab and a dungeness crab i bought in santa barbara farmer market.... good luck this is how i'm gonna make it.... plus garlic butter of course

Dilution of the sauce w/ the stock your using is the quick answer.. However Old Bay contains a fair amount of flake salt that enhances the spice.. i would use some fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice. Again if you aren't to concerned about the consistency just add stock, (unseasoned chicken/ fish/ or crab). bob
