No that is not sufficient for an animal. A cat needs more nutrients than just shrimp. You will eventually make your cat sick. Shrimp does not provide a cat with nearly the correct nutrients for it to stay healthy. Cats are carnivores and need MEAT to survive, not fish or shellfish. Find your cat a good quality cat food that has named meat at the first of the ingredient list, which will provide the cat all the nutrients it needs.
Shrimp can be given as an occasional (once a week at most) treat.
The same way that you would cook spaghetti; boil a pan of water, add salt, chuck the linguine in (you may need to press it down until it all fits the pan) and boil until it's as cooked as you like (give it 5 minutes, taste a strand to see if it's cooked. Keep boiling until it is cooked, keep tasting every couple of minutes). Stir occasionally whilst it's boiling.
