At least chocolate milk contains milk (but check the ingredients label to be sure). It will contain whatever nutrients contained in the amount of milk in it. Soda has no nutrients at all. Also check the calories contained in the same size serving. You could also compare the calorie content of chocolate milk from the store and chocolate milk that you make your self from milk, coco powder, and sugar. The calorie count of each these should be on the package's ingredient list. Then you can control the amount of sugar and the calorie count yourself. Good, better, best.
