Yes... because they are easier to train and dont bite as much .Russian hamsters hiss.
Syrian hamsters because they are easier to handle.
Chinese dwarf hamsters are the slowest of dwarf hamsters, they are easy to handle and I would recommend to anyone who is having a first time dwarf hamster.
In my opinion, a black bear hamster makes a very loving pet and really cute on top of that. I would go with the hamster because they're also easier to handle.
Syrian, teddy bear hamsters. They are less wild and easier to handle than dwarfs. If it is for a little kid you need to get a teddy bear hamster because they are just all around easier to take care of and are less wild :=)
A Gerbil is more Rat Looking with a long tail, while the hamster has a short nub. Gerbils are also easier to handle for the most part. They are all 3 rodents.
If you are deciding to buy a hamster then make sure you will give it a lot of care that is the same to all pets every pet and animal needs care and if you do get a hamster make sure you feed it, water it, play with it, care for it and handle it make sure you do all of that please and take care of your hamster. To a certain extent? Yes. You must handle them firmly but gently and as to their constitution....they tend toward developing diabetes but if you keep them away from fruits and other sweets then they should be alright.
handle it every day and give it loads of treats or get another hamster to play with

they are easy to care for and do not need constant attendance like dogs they can help boost confidence but it would be wise to start with a Syrian hamster as they are easier to handle
You could have gerbils, fish, hamster or mice! I would not advice you to get anything bigger, as it would be alot of hard work to keep. As well if the class pets for younger children it is much easier for the to handle ( if you get the fish don't let the kids handle them).
No. It is very aggressive. Leave it alone because it hates being handle when pregnant. If you do handle it, it probably will bite you.
