Artichoke not only doesn't contain substantial amounts of liver toxins, a quality it would share with most normal, naturally grown food items, no, more than that its even used as a liver protective medicine. So the answer would be yes, eating it may be a good idea - it *may* help, and if not, at least it won't do any harm, like your average junk food diet rich in fat and chemicals and poor in vitamins and other naturally occurring nutrients.
