If you mean "can it be dissolved" then I have no idea. If you mean "can it be digested" then yes it can. Cellulose, a molecule that forms the cell wall of plant cells, cannot be digested by humans, hence why there's sweetcorn in the toilet after you've eaten it, if you know what I mean. However, the rest of the cell can be digested, just like animal cells. By chewing your food properly you can break the cells in the sweetcorn open, allowing digestive enzymes from your stomach to enter the cells and digest everything, leaving just the cellulose behind.
