The Garden of Gethsemane and the Mount of Olives are closely related but not the same. The Garden of Gethsemane is a specific garden located at the foot of the Mount of Olives, known for its significance in the New Testament as the place where Jesus prayed before his crucifixion. The Mount of Olives itself is a larger hill that offers a panoramic view of Jerusalem and is historically important in biblical events.
In the same manner and place from which He left -- the Mount of Olives:"...why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, WILL COME BACK IN THE SAME WAY YOU HAVE SEEN HIM GO INTO HEAVEN.'" (Acts 1:11 NIV)"...He was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid Him from their sight." (verse 9)"Then they returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day's walk from the city." (verse 12)"On that Day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south." (Zech.14:4 NIV)
Green olives are a little unripe, but still ready to eat. Black olives are the same olives, but much riper. Green olives turn black as they mature.
The Bible mentions a serpent in the Garden of Eden but not in the Garden of Gethsemane. Gethsemane was where Jesus was praying shortly before he was arrested. Many believe that Satan's hour is 3am. There are many personal beliefs that I have to believe that Jesus was literally fighting off Satan's temptations to join his evil plan and make the Son of God disobey and sin against His father. The Bible says that Jesus was sweating blood and that the disciples couldn't stay awake. The Bible also says that Jesus prayed for an hour (let's say 3am) came to check on them and prayed for another hour before he was led away by Judas and the officers that arrested him. Around this hour the cock crowed which a rooster would normally crow right before the sun comes up. Many people ask why Jesus was praying and that He wanted to get out of dying on the cross for all mankind's sin, but my personal belief is that He was spiritually fighting off Satan and all his demons at this point in time therefore there was a serpent in the garden of gethsemane; the same serpent that was in the garden of eden, Satan himself.
No, the Gethsemene Hermitage is in Jerusalem.
Here are some health comparisons between Green and Black olives:Green olives have more calories.Green olives have more saturated fat. They both have about the same amount of protein and fiber.Black olives have more iron.Green olives have more vitamin E.Both have about the same amount of vitamin A.Green olives have about twice the amount of sodium. From this comparison, it looks like black olives are healthier in general, but neither should be considered unhealthy.
"to garden" is the same as "work in the garden"
A couple of items work in a pinch, although there is no true substitute,1. Try Capers2. Pickled Peppers make a good alternativeBoth of these impart their flavor when cooking - so add them at the same time they specify the olives
In Luke 21 it tells of end times signs. Speciffically in verse 27 and 28 it says, "At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." (NIV) Jesus will not come down a mountain when He returns, but will descend from the clouds.
