You have to be ruthless in trimming bunches when they are small. trim out most of the small grapes with scissors. Make sure they are in full sun and prevent shading of the bunches by too much foliage. If the vine is young you must limit the number of bunches to under 10 until it has developed a good deep root system. Also water copiously in hot weather.
