The first Thanksgiving was in 1621. Popcorn was not invent back in those days. Another reason it was probably not served is becasue popcorn is a play food, not a dish you can serve on thanksgiving. Lastly, corn on the cob was eaten at the first Thanksgiving.

There was no popcorn at the First Thanksgiving. But, they had corn on the cob. The First Thanksgiving was 1621. The popcorn thing is a common myth. People might be mistaking it for corn on the cob. Popcorn could not be popped at the time.

Since microwaves have only been in use since the latter half of the 20th century, you are technically correct ... but also very incorrect. Dried corn can be popped several ways such as a hot skillet with a cover or using a warming pan (a pan with a long handle and a cover employed to hold coals for warming a bed) and, commercially, has been popped with a hot-air oven (forced air). The use of popped corn kernels would not have been unusual in any way at the First Thanksgiving regardless of whether it was considered worthy of documentation at that time.

Well I am not exactly sure and honestly it is hard for anyone to be completey sure but I am going to say there was because if they grew corn and had a fire burning they could have easily made it so i say yes there was but that is just my opinion.....
