It was supposed to be highly potent and award you enlightenment when you drank it. It had roots in their mythology which said it was originally made from the blood of their God Kvasir. I say this just as a point of interest because I don't know of anyone who drinks it now or of any breweries that make it. In short I don't know of ANY commercially produced beetroot alcohol other than Burakovyi Kvas which is only very slightly alcoholic. I'm not sure if this helps at all, but good luck finding the information you want anyway!
