Since there are no known unicorns alive today, most people believe they are a myth, or a legend.

If unicorns did indeed exist, they were most likely made of the same things other living creatures are, flesh and blood. Although there have been remains discovered of what people say were unicorns, none of these have yet to be verified to date. However, there are theories about this. Throughout history, there have been stories about the magical powers of unicorns. For instance, the horn is supposed to be able to neutralize any poison. It can be argued that because of these stories, the unicorns were hunted into extinction, and all of their remains were actually used, leaving no traces behind.

Due to the absence of an actual unicorn to study, many myths and legends have come into being. One popular opinion is that unicorns are made from moonlight and magic. Others believe that they are made from unpolluted dreams that have taken shape. There are likenesses painted by artists of unicorns forming from sea foam, and running onto the beach. Almost all the stories agree that unicorns are pure and majestic creatures. They are thought to be brave and loyal. They are one of the few creatures from the old stories that were kind, or showed passion, to humans. It would only make sense that when thought of in a mythical sense, they come from places as exemplary as moonlight.
