Mr. Van Daan made things like sausage, beef, pork, and other stuff out of meat. I like sausage :)
Mr Dussel Mr van Daan Mrs van Daan Peter van Daan
Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan argue about selling Mrs. Van Daan's fur coat. Mr. Van Daan wants to sell the coat to buy food, while Mrs. Van Daan wants to keep it for sentimental reasons despite the family's desperate situation.
Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan were a married couple who went into hiding with Anne Frank and her family during World War II in the Secret Annex in Amsterdam. Their real names were Hermann and Auguste van Pels. They had one son, Peter, who became friends with Anne Frank during their time in hiding.
Mr. Dussel accuses Mr. Van Daan of stealing food and other supplies from the hiding place. The accusations have merit because there are instances where food goes missing and Mr. Van Daan is seen behaving suspiciously around the food storage area. This leads to tension and conflict within the group of people in hiding.
Mr. Frank lost a packet of cigarettes on a bet with Mr. Van Daan in the diary of Anne Frank.
he is a dentist
He was a butcher
Mr. Van Daan was in his early fifties when he went into hiding with his family in the Secret Annex.
Peter his cat mrs van daan her jewels and clothes, mr. van daan cigarettes
-Mr. Van Daan steals food because he is greedy and selfish. Mr. Frank offered his food to the other family members. -Mr. Frank is closer to the kids than Mr. Van Daan. Mr. Frank always helps the kids with studies while Mr. Van Daan would rather sleep or smoke tabacco. -Mr. Frank took action while a thief broke into the building. Mr. Frank has a faster reaction to problems like this while Mr Van Daan is struggling to make a decision to stay in the room or go down the stairs and check on what was going on in the building with Mr. Frank. Some similarities are they were both pot smokers and whores -Jazmyn:)!
There was not really a strong friendship mentioned in the novel, although i would think Mr. Van Daan might of disliked Mr. Frank due to Mrs. Van Daan being quite flirtatious with him, although Mr. Frank ignored it. Not exactly a friend i suppose, probably grateful for Mr. Frank allowing them to stay in the Annex, and probably some what irritated with him because of Mrs. Van Daan.
