From the time the new chicks leave the shell they should be given a chick starter food. This is available either in medicated or un-medicated form. The chick starter is small pre-ground and simply digestible. At about 2 months a small amount of chick grower can be added and increased each day until the birds are off the chick starter and eating only the grower. Full grown hens eat crushed/milled grains mixed with animal-based proteins and other minerals (particular emphasis on calcium and phosphorus for egg production).
Take the hen across first. Go back alone. Take the fox. Take the hen back. Get the food and leave the hen. Go back alone. Take the hen.

The Purple Swamp Hen eats worms and small insects. In captivity, they will eat grains such as corn, wheat, and soybean meal.
Swamp hens are the topp predators so no 1 can eat em'!
You should feed your hen layer pellets, scarps (such as potatos, bannanas, apples, waffles, soft chips, pizza or any vegetables etc..) You can also give your hen poridge or bread too. (be careful not to give your hen to much bread!, it can fatten it and effect your hens heart!.)
A hen that eats eggs is probably destined for the stew pot. There is no way to train a hen not to eat eggs once they start. You can separate her from the rest of the flock but often she will cannibalize her own eggs as well which makes her useless for anything except meat.
Likely candidate is a Guinea Fowl (or hen) depending upon where you live.
