There are many foods that are good for the muscular system.

Foods containing vitamin C, such as fruits, help to maintain the structure of muscles, tendons and ligaments. Magnesium helps to prevent muscle spasms and cramping, and is found in green leafy vegetables such as spinach. Potassium, found in foods such as bananas,meat, dairy, grains, legumes, vegetables and potatoes helps support muscle function by sending nerve impulses to the muscles to help them stretch and relax. Similarly, calcium helps the muscles to relax, and calcium is found in dairy foods, salmon and sardines and citrus fruits. Protein, found in meats, nuts, seeds, legumes and brown rice, is vital for a healthy muscle system also.
