vinegar
Alka seltzer has an antiacid built into it, so the reaction starts off fast, but will slow to a normal pace. The Vinegar's acidic level will be neutralized.
Alka-Seltzer will dissolve faster in vinegar because vinegar is an acidic solution, which can help break down the tablet faster compared to alcohol.
Because vinegar is acidic and water neutral, alka-seltzer will produce a better reaction in vinegar. This is because the alka-seltzer is basic with a ph of approx. 9.2 and vinegar is acidic with around 4 I think. Water has a ph of 7 making it neutral, and the higher the difference in numbers on ph scale, the bigger reaction(provided one is acidic(below 7) and one is basic(above 7)).
When you put Alka-Seltzer in vinegar, a chemical reaction occurs. The citric acid and sodium bicarbonate in the Alka-Seltzer combine with the acetic acid in the vinegar to produce carbon dioxide gas. This gas is released as bubbles, causing the mixture to fizz and bubble vigorously.
Just did it, two extra strength alka selzer and 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar, blast of warmth to the belly and lots of birps and oh boy the farts... not to mention the nasty tast... alls swell
The short answer would be none - alka-setlzer fizzes releasing carbon dioxide but that would insufficient due to the lack of pressure.
The commercial used to say "Plop, plop, fizz fizz, oh what a relief it is." Alka-seltzer has carbon dioxide which dissolves quick. "Effervescent tablets designed for human consumption often contain sodium bicarbonate and citric acid as non-toxic reagents for releasing carbon dioxide."
